We’re thrilled to inform you all that Mohan, chained and abused for the past 50 years of his life, has finally been rescued by Wildlife SOS and is on his way to our Elephant Conservation and Care Center in Mathura. He has been loaded on the truck safely and is being accompanied by 9 team members which includes the Wildlife SOS expert paramedics and rescuers. We will have more details to share as Mohan covers the journey of over 500 kms to reach ECCC, so stay tuned and keep checking on Facebook and on this blog as we post updates!

UPDATE – Packed with yummy treats and buckets of water, Mohan has begun his journey to the Elephant Conservation and Care Center (ECCC). UPDATE – At the stroke of midnight India time, Mohan entered the Wildlife SOS Animal Ambulance. He’s now settled in and now making his way toward his new home at the ECCC! Mohan is seen here in the ambulance with a sleepy but satisfied Wildlife SOS rescue crew.
