This Is Amanda
Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m a huge animal lover. About two years ago I discovered Arm the Animals and became more active with donating/volunteering and even fostering kitties !
I’m originally from Rhode Island and lived in South Florida the last few years before relocating to Los Angeles. Each time I moved I became more and more aware of animals in need at rescues and shelters. I never knew how to become more involved and I’m thankful for discovering ATA! (I now have an entire drawer dedicated to my ATA gear!)
Last year I rescued a bonded pair of cats; one black one and one tortoiseshell cat. I immediately fell in love and wanted to do more for kitties like them!
Several months ago I began to foster for Two Way Street Animal Care and quickly became a “foster fail” and adopted my lovable foster girl Ro who was the mother of a litter of kitties and had been in foster homes for EIGHT MONTHS. I credit Arm the Animals with inspiring me to do more for animal rescues and even consider fostering.
I’m also a big dog lover and do Wag! dog walking in my spare time. I like doing Wag! because I know I’m helping a family care for their pet and I get some good exercise ! Most people just assume I’m a crazy cat lady but I’ve got love for all kinds of animals !
